A day in my life

A normal day in my life starts with me waking up around 6 am. I like waking up early, because it gives me a feeling that the day is longer. I usually stay in bed until a quarter to seven to read a good book or listen to some music. My schedule looks different every day, but I usually go to the university at 9 am. I just started taking some classes at the university, because I thought school was really boring so I took the exams earlier than everyone else and started to study at Lunds University at the age of 15.

I take some classes in Advanced French, Chinese, ancient Greek and linguistics. I want to study cognitive science in a couple of years and get a full time job at the humanist lab. Anyways, whenever I don't have classes I usually sit in the entrance hall, drinking coffee and studying. I know a few students from the lab who I like to talk to whenever I get the time.

¨My classes usually end at around 3 pm. After school I take my bike home and make me something vegan to eat. I read and study the whole afternoon, until my parents and my sisters get home around 7 pm. Then we usually make dinner together. After dinner we talk and spend some time together until 9 pm. I like going to bed early, but I usually write in my diary, study a bit and then go to bed. I read until 10 pm and then I usually fall asleep.

At school I usually wear my Dr Martens. I think that they're comfortable and suit me perfectly. Like I mentioned before everyone have their own style, which means that you can find all kind of shoes at the university. [Source
This is the library of the university in Lund. It's located next to the institution where I study. Sometimes I go here to borrow an interesting book. [Source]

This is a photo riddle. Guess what it is! ^^ [Source]

A childhood memory

Here's a childhood memory I have.

Freaky fashion

Right now being different is totally in. Everyone has their own clothing style and if you're outside, walking in the city, you will most likely see at least ten different hair colors, rainbow-coloured clothes or typical bohemian styled people. The elders like to dress up like animals, so don't be surprised if you see an elephant or a human-sized frog shopping for groceries or taking a walk.

Like the clothing, people have lots of different tastes in music. An activity that's popular right now is making music and dancing together on the street. Someone brings speakers and puts on music and everyone sings along, laughing and making new friends. I don't know how this got so famous, all I can remember is that I gave my friends the suggestion to try this and the next day everyone was singing and dancing. *hint hint*

Almost everyone is a vegetarian and enjoys eating vegetables over meat. Also, multicultural food is in and if you would open a store with for example Indian or Spanish food, it would probably get really popular. About 20% of the people in our town are vegans, and 70% are vegetarian. That leaves around 10% who are murderers who like to kill animals. Brutal people.

Anyways, I have to go and continue fighting for animal rights so I guess I'll see you around!

Friends and free time

I have a few close friends who often come by my place. We eat a lot of fruits and cookies. Every Thursday we have a small get-together to play boardgames like Mah-jong or backgammon. We sit on the black carpet in my room, drinking tea and tasting new exotic fruits [my favourite one is passion fruit]. Besides playing games we also use the time to catch up on what's been happening the previous week. We don't go to the same school and we all do different things in our free time.

Me, for example, I play the cello and sing almost everyday. I've been playing the cello for 10 years and right now I'm practicing 6 suites for cello by Bach. It's so beautiful. By the way, that's another thing I do in my spare time; listen to music. I listen to a lot of classical music, while just resting on my big bed in my dark room, the only thing lighting up my room are the small light chains, all over my room. When I'm not in the mood for classical music, you usually find me listening to indie-folk music or old rock ballades. I like to read and write stories, because escaping real life actually makes me relaxed. Not that I have a reason to escape my real life (I mean, it's perfect), but I love reading about other people and their stories. On my way from school I like to stop by at a little cosy coffee shop. I'm one of their regular costumers, I'm there every other afternoon. I sit at my usual seat, next to the wall in a corner, talking to the nice waitress who works there, or just simply enjoying a good book.

Okay, let's talk about my friends again. I have three friends coming over every Thursday, their names are Freya, Charlie and Mason. My friends are rather calm and smart. They enjoy spending time together, reading or studying. We have similar taste in music, which makes pretty much everything a lot easier. As I said before we hang out every Thursday, but most of them also join our barbecue parties at Saturdays. I've known both Freya and Charlie since kindergarden, Mason has been a part of our little group for three years now. They're the nicest people I know, mostly because they're so caring and polite, smart and funny and have the same interests as me.

Me and my family

My family has the perfect life. I live in a great mansion in the woods together with my parents and my two sisters. My sisters are both younger than me, but even though many siblings are annoying, mine aren't. Hilda and Matilda are twins and they're two years younger than me. My name's Laura and I just turned 16 years old.
I am a person of average length, with hair which changes colour after my mood. When I'm happy my hair is black, it turns yellow the same second I get confused. I've heard that it will get pink when I'm jealous, so there's a pretty low chance I will have pink hair. I mean, why would I be jealous when my life is as perfect as it is? I'm not saying that I'm a self-centered b*tch, but I'm a happy person and my life is everything I need right now.

My sisters Hilda and Matilda are the most wonderful sisters a person like me could wish for. They leave me alone when I need some space, but they're always there for me to share stories with and they bake the best chocolate chip cookies ever.

My mom, Tina, is a wonderful woman. She works as a doctor at the city hospital and have saved the life of many citizens of this city. She has short brown hair and she's pretty tall. Tina was born in Finland, so she's taught me Finnish. Because one of my moms is Finnish and the other one's from Italy, so I grew up speaking both Finnish and Italian fluently. We used to live in France, which means that I speak French too. Now we live in Sweden, in a little town called Lund. Anyways, my Italian mother, Ella, is a teacher, she teaches at a high school here in Lund. My parents met at the university in Berlin, where they both went for an exchange year in their early twenties.

My family all together is the best one you could wish for. We hardly fight and we live a simple life in our white house. I have my own room, where I spend most of my time. Every evening we sit in the kitchen, laughing and telling each other stories about our day. I would say we're a happy family, we all are ambitious and positive people who like spending time together. We take turns making dinner and on weekends we usually go outside to have a barbecue party with neighbors and friends. We usually have vegetarian barbecue, because my parents have very strict opinions about meat production and animals right and I agree with most of them. Our weekend nights usually end with us sitting infront of our campfire, singing songs and playing music.
